The two actors looked like they share a great bond. However, Sara’s latest interview will have you thinking that some trouble might be brewing between the two.
In her recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, the Kedarnath actress seems to have made an indirect attack on Janhvi. Read on for the details:
Did Sara Suggest That She Is More Respected Than Janhvi?
In a recent interview with Barkha Dutt, Janhvi had spoken about how she has received great opportunities but is yet to receive respect as an actor. Siddharth quoted the same in his interaction with Sara and asked if she feels the same way. The actress replied, “I don’t feel under-respected at all. I think I have been given a lot of respect. If you accept me for who I am, that’s the biggest sign of respect and I think, touchwood, I got that very early in my career.”
Realising that the statement might be taken negatively, Sara tried explaining Janhvi’s statement by commenting on how she might be referring to the film reviews. However, she quickly changed her mind and added, “But even then, whether it’s Kedarnath or Atrangi, I read the reviews I was given. I don’t think respect has been a problem for me.”
Sara & Janhvi’s Complicated History
Sara and Janhvi share a complicated history. During the KWK 7 episode, netizens felt that Karan Johar was deliberately favouring Janhvi while constantly snubbing Sara. He even commented on how Janhvi was the better-looking of the two. But that’s not it. During the chat, the trio also dropped hints about how both actresses might have dated Kartik Aaryan in the past. Sara and Janhvi even seemed to bond on the fact and cracked some jokes at his expense.
However, gossip mills are abuzz with rumours of Kartik and Sara getting back together now. This has the potential of impacting Sara and Janhvi’s relationship and can actually be the reason why Sara took a dig at the Mili actress.
That said, I sincerely hope that all of it is just a misunderstanding and the actresses continue to be good friends!
