The 34-year-old Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film actress, Sameera Reddy made an announcement in March that she is having her second baby! Since then, the actress has shared numerous posts on Instagram flaunting her baby bump and speaking about the joy of motherhood. This included a gorgeous underwater maternity photoshoot that we couldn’t get enough of. Sameera, who was last seen in Priyadarshan’s Aakrosh (2010) decided to take a break from the industry after tying the knot with her boyfriend Akshai Varde, who, like the actress, is a motorcycle enthusiast. The two have a 4-year-old son together, Hans Varde and are excited to welcome a fourth member to the family!
In a recent post on Instagram, Sameera decided to focus on the ‘real’ aspect of getting pregnant, sans makeup and drama. In the video, the actress revealed that being in the industry was hard but she has decided to choose self-love and acceptance now.
Sameera, who is ‘ready to pop’ shared this empowering video with the caption, “This is the real me! Almost ready to pop! I know I’ll bounce back and im not afraid of being judged 🙌🏼. I wanted to share how I looked without make up & my morning face 😱 and how it’s important for me to celebrate it ! #imperfectlyperfect Thank you @namratasoni you’ve been amazing . 🎥 the very talented @varadsugaonkar ⚡️”
The actress’s maternity shoot also focused on the hashtag ‘ImperfectlyPerfect’ which Sameera has been using to promote body positivity and self love. Her first caption from her maternity shoot at 9 months pregnant read, “I wanted to celebrate the beauty of the bump in my 9 th month. At a time when we feel the most vulnerable, tired , scared, excited and at our biggest and most beautiful!🌟 I look forward to sharing it with you guys and I know the positivity will resonate because we all are at different phases of our lives with unique sizes and we need to love and accept ourselves at every level #imperfectlyperfect.”
Sameera has taken this opportunity to show the world of social media that every body is beautiful and deserves to be accepted and loved! It’s empowering to watch actresses take a stand on what pregnancy actually looks and feels like, unlike what the audience is used to watching on the screen. Here’s hoping other celebrities come forward to promote the same.
