Samantha Ruth Prabhu is on a roll, raising the bar at every turn! On August 21, the 41st Annual India Day Parade was held in the heart of New York City. Samantha herself led the parade and while she made India beam with pride, she also managed to make the fashion world do a double take. Her outfit wasn’t just a choice, it was a statement, and the fashionistas couldn’t agree more!
With her OOTD, Samantha managed to keep the desi-ness alive while also staying in vogue. She wore a heavily embroidered three-piece indo-western ensemble designed by Ritu Kumar. The gorgeous corset was embroidered in gold taar work and embellished with sequins. The strapless blouse featured a plunging neckline, structural boning, and a bodycon silhouette. She wore it with high-waisted flared trousers covered in various brown patterns and beautiful sequin embroidery.
The most unique element about the outfit was that Samantha layered it with not one, but two jackets! She donned a trench-style cover-up jacket that matched her corset and a long notch-lapel blazer matching the palazzo pants. Samantha made sure her jewellery did not steal the outfit’s limelight and instead spruced it up further. The actress wore a statement necklace, dainty ear studs, an oxidised silver ring, and tinted Lennon-styled sunglasses.
Samantha’s Second Look For The Parade
Samantha not only led the parade with pride but also gave herself an outfit change! For her second look, she chose a modish black saree by Arpita Mehta. The tiered, ruffle saree was draped over a heavily-embellished, sleeveless blouse adorned in sequins and mirrorwork. The actress completed the look with statement jhumkas and a kada.
From parade leader to fashion icon, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a force to be reckoned with.
