Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor took the internet by storm when they recently announced that they are expecting their first child. The newlywed took to the ‘gram to share the news as she posted a picture from an ultrasound session.“Our baby…coming soon,” the Gangubai Kathiawadi star captioned the photo.
While Alia had been in London to film her Hollywood debut Heart of Stone, Ranbir was in Mumbai doing rounds of interviews as part of promotions for his upcoming film Shamshera. The power couple had a romantic reunion at the Mumbai Airport last week as Alia returned home from Europe.
Ranbir Kapoor, who is busy with the promotions of his upcoming film spilled out compelling deets about their pregnancy. During a promotional event, someone played a game of ‘Two truths and a lie’ with the actor and that is when things got exciting. After spending a couple of minutes thinking about what he wanted to say, the actor made three statements that had the internet in a spin!
He started by saying, “I’m having twins”. Moved on to, “I’m gonna be a part of a very big mythological film”, and lastly, “I’m going to take a long break from work.”
Since we all know about Brahmastra, it was easy to guess that the statement about starring in a mythological drama was definitely true. As far as the other two statements are concerned, people wondered if they were really having twins. Arguing that Ranbir has only recently come out of a long break and hence wouldn’t take another one anytime soon, several people assumed that the statement about having twins was true. However, there were others who thought that Ranbir would never reveal something this big during a game.
One user wrote. “Twins one is a lie. He is taking a break after Brahmastra‘s release for 2 to 3 months to bulk up for a role or something. And no way he’s gonna reveal something as big as that casually.” Another one wrote,” I’m gonna take a long break is definitely a lie. I mean his last movie was released in 2018 and it’s 2022 now.”
