When He Said He Didn’t Want Raha To Be Like Alia
For someone who just got married, one would think Ranbir is madly in love with Alia. And maybe he is. The problem is he doesn’t really know how to express it and keeps ending up making a lot of offensive comments about his own wife! In a recent interview with a popular media platform, the Brahmāstra actor ended up saying that he does not want Raha to take after Alia. “Alia’s a very loud personality, talks and she’s very vivacious. Two girls at home like this would be quite a daunting task for me. I hope Raha is a bit more quiet and demure like me so then we both can handle Alia,” he added. Oh, Ranbir!
When He Had No Clue About How Women Deal With Break-Ups
During his recent appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, Ranbir had the weirdest comment about women dealing with break-ups. He legit implied that while men take a while to recover from heartbreaks, all women need is to get their eyebrows and upper lips done. God, save his soul!
When He Commented On Alia’s Body
Ranbir’s comments on Alia’s pregnant body resulted in social media backlash in August 2022. It happened during a social media live sesh for Brahmāstra. Commenting on the film’s promotional plans, Alia said, “Haan karenge,(we will do it) we will be everywhere, but the question that you are asking is why are we not phaloed (spread) everywhere and doing everything.” Before she could finish, RK interrupted and said, “Well right now I can see someone is phaloed” while looking at her baby bump. It was pretty obvious that Alia was taken aback by the joke!
When He Tried Taking Credit For Katrina’s Success
Most of Katrina and Ranbir’s interviews during the Jagga Jasoos promotions were awkward AF. The two had just broken up and the friction was evident. However, things went too far when during a media interaction Ranbir tried taking credit for Kat’s success by saying he helped her ace all her blockbuster item songs. Obviously irritated, Kat instantly retorted and said, “peeke aaya hai kya?“
When He Thought Anxiety Was A Joke
In an old interview during Ae Dil Hai Mushkil promotions, both Ranbir and Anushka went full unhinged and said some wild stuff. While Anushka dropped hints at Ranbir’s drug problem, Ranbir talked about her anxiety like it was a joke. “Anushka is the anxiety queen… She takes anti-anxiety pills even if she has to have a conversation because she is frantic… She has a medical problem, and she has a mental problem also, and a hygiene problem, but we accept her. She’s precious,” said the actor.
When He Declared His Uncle Had Dementia!
After the posthumous release of Rishi Kapoor’s Sharmaji Namkeen, Ranbir gave some interviews. During one such media interaction, he talked about how his uncle Randhir forgot that Rishi is no more. Ranbir said, “My uncle Randhir Kapoor, who is going through an early stage of dementia, came to me after the film and said, ‘Tell dad that he is amazing, and where is he, let’s call him’. Art crosses the boundaries of medical conditions… And a good piece of storytelling really embodies that. Randhir later reacted and rubbished Ranbir’s claims. “Not at all. I’m perfectly fine. I just had COVID sometime ago. Ranbir ki marzi; he is entitled to say whatever he wants.” Imagine the drama this must have caused in the Kapoor khandaan!
