On August 2, Indian Couture Week concluded, capping off a week of fashion and glamm. Designer Rahul Mishra brought the curtains down on the show’s 16th edition, and it was everything we expected. His collection was built on the basic principle of empowering craftsmen and exposing Indian culture through ‘We The People.’ The range was an extension of Mishra’s couture fall 2023 collection, which he debuted earlier this month at Haute Couture Week in Paris. While Shraddha Kapoor nailed it as a showstopper, it was the designer’s wife who stole the show!
Shraddha Kapoor looked stunning as she walked the ramp in a modish silver lehenga. She wrapped up the event by walking alongside Rahul Mishra, who was joined by his wife. Divya Mishra is Rahul’s wife and business partner, whom the designer affectionately calls “the boss.” While Rahul is in charge of the designs and creative work, Divya takes care of the research and market analysis. Not only did this adorable partnership steal our hearts at the show, but so did Divya’s on-point OOTN!
Divya was dressed in a baggy black T-shirt with a silver tiger engraved on her left shoulder. The tiger was a signature element of Rahul Mishra’s collection, appearing in numerous lehengas and dresses. She wore this unconventional T-shirt with a tulle black lehenga adorned with white flower embellishments. The diva ditched the jewellery and completed the look with black platform sandals. We absolutely love how she made a statement without stealing the limelight from the showstopper and other models.
Rahul Mishra’s show was definitely the perfect ending to the fabulous India Couture Week 2023! The designer lived up to all our expectations and proved that when you have the right partner, you can achieve anything. Kudos to Rahul and Divya for pulling off such an amazing partnership!
