With no new Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or Deepika Padukone look in sight, it was beginning to feel like an uneventful day at the third day of Cannes. But, we had not given up hope and our eyes were glued to the screen to catch the first peek of our favourite divas at the festival. Guess what? We finally managed to score the perfect pictures and let us assure you, they are every bit worth the wait.

Deepika made it to the Cannes Film festival right after she was declared the new House Ambassador for Louis Vuitton. Naturally, everyone expected DP to put on some couture looks from the brand. Well, it just happened and the actress has given us the solid silk dress look that we had predicted to see. For Cannes day 3, DP wore on a striking red gown that has our attention for its peplum waist. The plunge neck bodice is equally chic.
DP paired a diamond necklace with the stunning gown and we love how there is no other jewel or accessory in sight. Her diamonds and that silk dress are all that this fit needs.
The cherry on the cake? That brick red lippie and the messy ponytail. Only DP can make a messy hairdo look like a desirable red carpet look.

With international fashionistas favouring him, designer Gaurav Gupta seems to be riding a career-high right now. It only makes sense that our desi divas do it too and Aishwarya shouldered the responsibility. Her intricately embellished mauve gown from the designer is THE look that the Indian fashion fraternity had been eagerly waiting for.
