This might not be the first time an actor opted out of a committed project, but Priyanka Chopra’s exit from Salman Khan’s Bharat made quite a few headlines for multiple reasons. While fans were expecting to hear more about Priyanka and Nick’s marriage, instead, the news of Priyanka signing a Hollywood film opposite Chris Pratt broke right after she quit Bharat, followed by the rumours of an angry Salman vowing to never work with the actress again.
Earlier Salman was avoiding the questions about this issue, but at the trailer launch of Loveratri in Delhi on Monday, he spoke about PC and looks like all is well.

Salman revealed that Priyanka told them about leaving the film 10 days before her shoot was to begin. He said, “I am happy for her. Had we known that she has signed such a big film in Hollywood and known it well in advance, we would not have stopped her from leaving our film. She told us at the very last moment, just 10 days before shoot.”
Priyanka’s exit from the film was officially announced by Bharat‘s director Ali Abbas Zafar on Twitter. He mentioned that Priyanka has left the film in the ‘Nick of Time’ hinting towards her engagement (and possible wedding) with the singer.
Salman said that the team was supportive of her for doing good work and it is ultimately her choice to work with him or a bada hero from Hollywood. “We said, of course, if you don’t want to do it, don’t do it. We were given different reasons back then. But whatever the reason may be, the wedding, the movie, or if she doesn’t want to work in an Indian movie, or doesn’t want to work with me, or work only in Hollywood film and TV, these are her reasons. We are really happy and supportive about her doing good work,” said Salman.
He added, “So what if she doesn’t work here? She is making India proud there. If she doesn’t work with Salman, but works with a big hero in Hollywood, she’s making India proud.”
