Let’s be honest— Priyanka Chopra is the quintessential desi girl and now we have all the more reasons to believe this! Recently, we can across an adorable video of PC with our beloved jiju Nick Jones and we can’t stop obsessing over it. In the clip, the two can be seen performing Diwali aarti in their Los Angeles home.
For the occasion, Priyanka wore a beautiful yellow saree with a strappy blouse and Nick donned a white embroidered kurta-pyjama. In the clip, the Mary Kom actress can be seen helping her friend and chef Sami to perform the puja while the Sucker singer is in the background.

Last year on Diwali, PC and Nick hosted an intimate celebration for their family and friends. The actress shared a few snaps of the festivities on the ‘Gram and wrote, “Our first diwali in our first home together This one will always be special. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this evening so special. You’re my angels. To everyone who honoured our home and my culture by not only dressing the part but dancing the night away, you made me feel like I was back home. And to the best husband and partner @nickjonas, you are what dreams are made of. I love you. My heart is so grateful and full.”
TBH, it is not so surprising to see Priyanka being a total desi girl! She never misses an opportunity to celebrate her culture and we totes stan her for that.
A little while ago, in an interview, PC was asked about how she balances her life in America and India. The actress said, “You can take me out of India but you can’t take India out of me. My culture or me being who I am just sort of goes with me in a bubble wherever I’m. So I never feel like I’m away from home at all. My home is always with me, my mandir is always with me, my mom is always with me, my achaar is always with me.”
All we can say RN is, ‘Dekhi lakh lakh pardesi girl, ain’t nobody like my desi girl‘. Isn’t that right, PC?
