Global sensation, Priyanka Chopra and musician, Nick Jonas dropped a major surprise on Friday night. The two are now parents! Chopra wrote on her Instagram, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.”

While they did not share the baby’s name or gender at this point, fans have been eagerly waiting to know if it is a boy or baby girl for the couple. According to a report, Priyanka and Nick’s first child is a baby girl and the couple is super excited about the new journey. A source, close to the couple, also told the publication that it is a baby girl for the couple, who hope to have at least two children someday.
Earlier, in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, when asked about starting a family with Nick, Priyanka had said, “You know, you want to make God laugh and tell her your plans, but yes absolutely, whenever it’s the right time, it is something that we definitely want.”
In another interview, PC had spoken about starting a family with Nick. Priyanka was asked whether her mother, Madhu Chopra hopes to become a grandma someday. “They are a big part of our desire for the future. By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens,” she explained.
But when the interviewer said that both she and Nick lead very busy lives, she had cheekily replied, “No, we’re not too busy to practice.”
She added that when they do welcome a child, she has no issue with slowing down with her career commitments. “I’m okay with that. We’re both okay with that,” she added.
The couple received congratulations from their friends and family. Nick’s brothers Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas dropped heart emojis on both Nick and Priyanka’s post. Their fans are overjoyed at the news. “Oh my goodness Nick I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am for you guys congratulations can’t wait to see the baby grow up,” read one comment on Nick’s post.
