With all the buzz surrounding chemical peels and how they are set to replace physical face scrubs, I had to put it to test. And indeed I did try a bunch of different chemical exfoliators for that matter. Some of them worked decently while others were a little too strong for my skin at the time. But after I tried this lactic acid peel, it put all my worries and confusion about chemical exfoliators to rest. This gentle exfoliating peel treated my skin with TLC while offering the exfoliation I needed. None of my acne reacted badly to it either and that’s what really impressed me the most. Considering how soothing it is on my skin, this peel is the only exfoliator I will be using religiously all season! Here’s why I think you should try it out too.

The St. Botanica AHA Gentle Exfoliating Peel is meant to exfoliate your skin without irritating it. The formula contains 10% lactic acid for soothing exfoliation and 1% hyaluronic acid for a hydrating and healing effect. It effectively removes dead skin cells and impurities along with acne causing bacteria. Pores are unclogged after using this peel and even dullness and uneven skin tone is corrected. This peel does not need to be washed off and it is ideal for combination, acne prone, and sensitive skin types.
Why Do We Love It?
The formula of this peel works with a cooling sensation rather than a tingling sensation that you get from some other peels, which means it is not that irritating and in fact quite soothing. The lactic acid worked wonders in brightening my dull skin. The hyaluronic acid content also did a good job at healing my acne scars and enlarged pores. It works like a serum so there was no need to wash it off as well.

How To Use It?
This peel needs to be applied to clean skin just like a serum. First cleanse with a hydrating face wash and swipe on a toner with a cotton pad. Then spread a dime sized amount of this peel on your skin and follow up with a moisturiser. Do not wash off the peel. Make sure to use sunscreen if you are using this peel in the daytime.
What Does The Product Look Like?
My skin feels better after being exfoliated with this peel. There is no irritation. It is the gentle exfoliating solution I’ve been looking for to treat my acne prone skin all this time.
