The PIXI Vitamin C Tonic Feels Like Liquid Gold For My Oily Skin

Toners as such often get mixed reviews. Some promise to reduce pore size, while others promise to give you an even skin tone. The PIXI Vitamin C Tonic is one that promises to do both.
What Is It
A liquid exfoliator that gets rid of dead skin cells, unclogs pores, evens out the skin tone, and hydrates the skin, all at the same time. Vitamin C is the star ingredient of this product which brightens skin. Ferulic acid assists Vitamin C and with the help of willow bark, also exfoliates the skin gently. Aloe vera present in this hydrates the skin further and antioxidants boost the skin’s glow.
Our Thoughts
The PIXI Glow Tonic entered my life when my skin was at its worst. I’d previously used toners that had promised to do exactly what this product does, except it completely destroyed my skin barrier. My skin felt rough, textured, and extremely dry despite slathering on moisturiser so I was hesitant before trying out another toner that promised to do the same.
But boy, was I in for a surprise! Today, I call this tiny bottle my elixir of magic. At first, my skin purged (as expected). But I’m still reaping the after-effects of consistently using this product. As someone who loves spending time in the sun, a tan is unavoidable. But using this product for just one week reduced the tan so much so that there was a visible difference. It smells citrus-y and fresh, like lemonade but for your skin.
Like most toners, it has a water base and is easy to spread on your face. It feels refreshing on the skin and can sting on the first use, but the feeling quickly passes. As someone with extremely oily skin and large pores, with consistent use, I observed my pore size reducing, my skin becoming brighter, and dark spots fading. Something no other toner has managed to do so far.
How To Use It
After cleansing my face, I usually just dab the product onto my skin for maximum absorption. But you can also dab it onto a cotton pad and swipe it on your face and neck for a similar effect. Follow this up with your favourite moisturiser.
I would recommend you avoid using it more than once a day as it can dry out the skin. Also, start slowly by using it once or twice a week before making it a daily habit.
What It Looks Like
In Conclusion
If you're someone who struggles with oily skin and hasn't found a solution to it, I suggest you give this a try. And if you're somebody who doesn't believe in the power of toners, I also suggest you give this one a try and be prepared to be surprised!
