Not The Spa, Parineeti Chopra Follows This Ritual To Unwind & Pamper Herself

Parineeti Chopra has that pre-bridal glow going strong! And believe it or not, she isn’t someone who is too high maintenance, especially considering she is a celebrity. I gauged this after finding out that Parineeti doesn’t actually enjoy going to the spa!

Nevertheless, the actress who is rumoured to be getting married soon has an equally relaxing beauty ritual that she follows at home. And it is simply therapeutic in itself!

Parineeti’s Idea Of A Spa Sesh

In an interview, the bride-to-be said, “I am not a spa-lover like most girls generally are. So after a hard day’s work, my idea of de-stressing is having a hot shower.”

Hot showers are immensely relaxing and can help alleviate stress, clear up congestion, relieve pain, and promote sleep. The steamy hot shower can also help clear out your skin when done in moderation.

Are Hot Showers Good For You?

There’s an argument that hot showers can be bad for your skin and hair. But they do provide many benefits too. On one side scalding hot showers can damage your skin cells and hair and on the other hand, a hot shower can help your body detox and destress while providing relief from tons of ailments and fatigue. Hot showers especially feel amazing after a long day at the gym and that’s exactly why Parineeti loves indulging in them.

How To Enjoy A Hot Shower Without Damaging Your Skin?

Even though you hear so much about hot showers doing more harm than good for your skin, it’s hard to ditch it especially if you’re someone who loves them. For that sake, there’s a way to enjoy a hot shower while avoiding or reducing the damage.

Always make sure the water isn’t too hot by adjusting the hot water temperature. After the shower, once your pores have had a chance to deep clean thanks to the steam and cleansers, turn the cold water on so that your pores shrink back and your skin is soothed.

After a shower, it is best to moisturise your skin while it is still damp to lock in all the moisture.

Pro tip: Hot showers feel amazing but indulge in them in moderation, moisturise well, and avoid it if you have recently experienced sunburn or have eczema.

These cleansers only make the process more therapeutic with their scents and ingredients:

Enjoying a hot shower with a fragrant shower gel like the Kama Ayurveda Himalayan Deodar Body Cleanser is my favourite way to destress.

I find The Body Shop Hemp Shower Oil to be perfect for hot showers and it keeps my skin moisturised as well.

Relaxing in a bathtub full of warm water is a much nicer way to reap the benefits of a hot bath, especially if you involve the Kimirica Love Story Bath Salt for Body Spa. It gives a total spa-like experience.

Parineeti Chopra’s idea of a spa is so inexpensive yet it is legit going to put you in a relaxed state of mind.
