I’m usually not the one to go ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ about brides, but the moment I saw Nayab in a green Sabyasachi lehenga, I was stunned. Her understated make-up, barely there lip tint and an unmissable glow resonated with thousands of us.
Even a non-believer like me.
Now that we stumbled onto more pictures of her wedding, here are a few things to remember (and bookmark) this wedding season!
1. You Can Keep It Subtle, Even If You’re The Bride
Being a bride doesn’t mean having to give up your comfort zone with red lips and bold make-up if that’s NOT your thing. You too can go light on your lips (Anushka did too) and opt for a smokey eye with luminous looking skin like Nayab.
2. A Slick Updo Is Just The Right Amount Of Class
It’s not just the bride that looked spectacular, the groom’s sister, Mubhashra Ali looked stunning. Since she wore a deeper hued outfit, her shimmer smokey eye and chiselled cheeks added dimension to her face. Not to forget, that slick updo frames her face very well. P.S. Did you notice how the highlights catch the eye?
3. Don’t Hold Back On The Glitter When Wearing Black
While Mubashra’s black Sabyasachi lehenga gave me major wedding feels, I couldn’t take my eyes off her, well, eyes. With a gradation of gold, grey and black, that is one hot smokey eye. It doesn’t hurt that her contour is on point too. When making a statement, don’t hold back.
4. Dial Up The Volume With A Pouf
I don’t think I can stop looking at them. OK enough. So, did you notice how the bride squad has a lot of volume in their hair? You too can try to tease the crown section of your hair to give it that pouf. Be it a bun, ponytail or letting it loose, there is a lot of versatility to it.
We hope you and your BFF’s have a lot of fun too!
