The lavish goodie bag is gifted by Distinctive Assets, a Los Angeles-based marketing agency that specialises in celebrity placements and branding in the entertainment industry. The agency has distributed these gifts since 2002.
While it’s difficult to imagine anyone saying no to this Oscar gift bag, recipients have the right to refuse it, and many even have. Last year, actor Daniel Washington declined, and actor JK Simmons donated his bag to a charity auction, as did George Clooney in 2006.
