Even before she becomes Mrs. Ambani, Radhika Merchant has already managed to make a name for herself. A graduate from York University, she is engaged to Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s younger son, Anant Ambani. Radhika is spotted at every family event, and her fashion game is (more often than not) on-point. The Kathak dancer has her share of hits and misses, and while her outfits could pay someone’s rent, they don’t always pass the vibe check. Let’s take a look at some of Radhika’s fits that we loved, liked, and despised.
Flower Power
Radhika was seen wearing a cream lehenga with fuschia pink flowers all over for one of her engagement festivities! This outfit definitely gets a thumbs up from us. It was paired with a sheer cream dupatta, which did not detract from the stellar ensemble. We adored how she accessorised her look with contrasting emerald jewellery. A definite success!
Angelic In White
White has been a major trend this wedding season, and we’re here for it. Radhika’s embroidered white lehenga was pristine in every way. The subtle pastel shading on the hem and the pastel pink net dupatta stole the show. Radhika finished off her regal look with stunning diamond jewellery.
This Red Stands For Stop!
Radhika wore a red gown for sis-in-law Isha Ambani’s engagement ceremony, and it was a major miss. It was not just the lazy styling, but what was with the huge, hideous flower on the belt? Also, can we have two minutes of silence for that hairband that went out of style twenty years ago?
Beige, But Lukewarm
Radhika definitely has a knack for Indian wear. She has almost aced every ethnic look with charisma. While this beige and white lehenga does look classy, maybe styling it with some contrasting jewellery would’ve spruced up the look. So just because of the styling, we rate this outfit – lukewarm.
What The Feathers Is Happening?
Maybe Radhika should stick to her Indian wear ‘coz she’s definitely not getting it right with her western outfits. The dancer recently stepped out in a white feathered crop top paired with shiny blue denims and we couldn’t figure out what the heck was going on. The top did her no good, and the shimmery, ill-fitted jeans made things worse. Hard pass!
