The year 2018 saw a host of fresh faces making their debuts, starting with Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in Dhadak, Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan in Kedarnath, and of course, everyone’s favourite Siddhant Chaturvedi in Gully Boy. This year, Student of The Year 2 became a sensational launchpad for starlets Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria. And there are many more fresh faces we’ll be seeing in the coming months.
Be it star kids or the young talent who make it on their own, every year, the industry welcomes new faces that carry the legacy of Indian films forward. Well, it’s always refreshing to see fresh talent flourish in the film industry, right? As we draw closer to the year, we’ve compiled you a list of newcomers who are getting us excited…
Here are all the fresh faces in Bollywood you should watch out for!
Isabelle Kaif
After Katrina, the younger Kaif sibling is all set to make her Bollywood debut. Isabelle Kaif will feature in a movie titled Kwatha opposite Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma who made his debut in Love Yatri last year. Inspired by true events, Kwatha, an action-drama film will show how a few incidents change a man’s opinion and perspective on certain things.
Speaking about her sister’s debut, Katrina revealed in an interview earlier, “I’m playing the normal part that any sister would play (laughs). Isabelle is really happy, excited and is working very hard. I have been in the industry for so many years, so there are a lot of places where I can help and impart my suggestions. But the good thing is that she is independent and a strong-minded person. Isabelle’s take on things, as well as the path that she wants to navigate, is clear in her mind. Obviously, there will be certain struggles that she’d have to face on her own, but it’s great that she comes with a huge amount of formal training, as she has spent four years at Lee Strasberg. I am very happy about it as she is coming prepared.”
Ahan Shetty
Sajid Nadiadwala is all set to launch another Shetty in the film industry. After launching Sunil Shetty, the director is all set to launch his son Ahan Shetty in Bollywood. The actor will soon join the bandwagon of star kids and make his debut in the Hindi remake of Telugu hit RX100. He will be seen opposite Student of the Year 2 actress Tara Sutaria. Directed by Milan Luthria, the release date of the film is yet to be announced.
Alaia F
Actress Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaia F just wrapped up shooting for her debut film Jawaani Jaaneman. The movie also features Tabu and Saif Ali Khan. A few weeks back, Alaia took to Instagram to announce the wrap of her film, “Gratitude and excitement are all I feel. It’s a wrap for me on ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
Born to Pooja Bedi and Farhan Furniturewalla in 1997, Alaia has already become an internet sensation.
Saiee Manjrekar
Salman Khan is an actor, who is known for launching new talent in Bollywood. After Katrina Kaif and Zareen Khan, the superstar is all set to introduce his friend/actor Mahesh Majrekar’s daughter Saiee Manjrekar in his upcoming movie Dabangg 3. Saiee will likely be playing Salman’s love interest and reports also suggest that the actress has already shot for a major chunk of her portions in the movie.
Sanjana Sanghi
Actress Sanjana Sanghi is not really a newcomer in Bollywood. She played a supporting role in Ranbir Kapoor’s Rockstar and was also seen in a small role in Fukrey Returns. However, the actress will be seen as a lead for the first time in the Hindi remake of the popular Hollywood movie and book The Fault In Our Stars. Titled Dil Bechara, the film will also feature Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role.
Saher Bamba and Karan Deol
On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, actor Sunny Deol shared the first look posters of son Karan Deol’s debut film Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. Apart from Karan Deol, the movie will also introduce Saher Bamba. Although she’s not a star kid, Saher is one of the winners of Times Fresh Face and hails from Shimla. We’re eagerly waiting to see both Saher and Karan in their much-anticipated debut releasing this year.
Karan Deol also took to his Instagram account to share the teaser of his upcoming movie with debutant Saher Bamba.
