After months of buzz and excitement around their wedding, South India stars, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan finally tied the knot earlier today. The couple got married in an intimate ceremony at Mahabalipuram resort and the excited groom has now shared the first picture with an adorable caption. For her wedding, the Mallu bride ditched the traditional Kanchipuram and Kasavu for a more contemporary look. She opted for an embroidered red saree from Jade By MK drape. The actress paired her embellished saree with a matching blouse. It is the tonal embroidery of her saree that we are loving and it is reminding us of Priyanka Chopra’s wedding lehenga. The most refreshing detail here? Instead of traditional gold jewels, Nayanthara opted for an OTT layered kundan and uncut emerald set by Goenka India. She balanced her heavy neckpieces with a simple maangtika and studs. Vignesh matched the actress in a cream bandhgala from the same designer. Don’t they look great together?
Ahead of their wedding, Vignesh had also shared a lovely message for his to-be wife on Instagram. He wrote, “Today is June 9th and it’s Nayan’s thanking God, the universe, the goodwill from all the lovely human beings who have crossed My life !! Every good soul, every good moment, every good coincidence, every good blessing, everyday at shooting and every prayer that has made life this beautiful!
