Diwali is just around the corner and even though the festivities have been muted down this year, it doesn’t mean you need to compromise on your glam quotient. You can still dress up in your fav desi ensemble, put on jhumkis and bindis, and do a full face of makeup cause you’re a sparkle ready to shine!
Nargis Fakhri just uploaded an ultra-glamorous makeup look and it’s perf for this time of the year. With parties happening almost every day, albeit, over Zoom, this berry lip along with a gorgeous anarkali will set you apart.
Here’s How To Recreate Nargis Fakhri’s Look
Bronzed skin, highlighted cheekbones, and a bright, bold lip–what’s not to love!? If you want to recreate this look, you’ve come to the right place cause we’re breaking it down for you.
Step One: Spend Time On The Base
The base is everything in makeup. If you get that right, the rest of your makeup will glide on. Prep your skin with moisturiser and primer according to your skin type and then go in with a medium to full coverage matte foundation. Blend it in with a damp beauty sponge for a seamless finish. You can then conceal under your eyes and on the high points of your face to brighten it up. After that, you can bake your undereye area and around the mouth so that you don’t crease your makeup.
Step Two: Glitter Eyes And Everything Nice
Nargis chose a champagne coloured glitter shadow for the eyelid and a matte pink for the crease, so that’s what we’re going to do. First, take a neutral pink colour and with a fluffy brush apply it to the crease, then go over it with a darker pink. After that take a champagne glitter shadow and apply it to the lid. Don’t forget to take the matte shades applied in the crease to smoke out the lower lashline. Then fill in your brows ever so slightly, apply some mascara, put on falsies and you’re good to go!
Step Three: Bronzing And Highlighting
Nargis has this beautiful warm colour on her skin and that’s all thanks to a bronzer. Take your fav matte bronzer and apply it to the hollows of your cheeks, the tops of your forehead, and your jawline. This is a quick trick to get a sculpted face when you don’t want to contour. Then highlight the tops of your cheeks and your brow bone to make the look pop.
Step Four: The Finishing Touches
When you’re using bold lip colours, going in with a lip liner to draw out your lips always makes the task easier. So once you draw your lips, fill them in with a creamy matte lipstick. Finally, set it all in place and you’re done.
Trust us, you’ll look berry cute!
