I’m going to let you in on a secret. I don’t like matte-based anything: lipsticks, foundations, or concealers. I’ve always struggled with dryness and stickiness post-application — and you know how they advertise their long-stay powers so boldly? It’s true. The pigment just doesn’t wear off, and not even my cleanser can compete with that level of commitment to the lips. Nope.
But I noticed one of my colleagues wearing the prettiest hue of mauve on the lips — one called ‘Go Off’ (like, whaaat) — and it didn’t look like it was matte at all. You know how dried-out and cracked your lips look after applying a mattifying lipstick? Apparently — I was just using the wrong formulas.
Aaaand that’s not it. My colleague came across this survey by MyGlamm that promised her this exact free-of-cost lipstick from their best-selling range. All she had to do was fill her responses in — which took all of 30 seconds — before being directed to the brand’s LIT Liquid Matte Lipstick range. When I tell you it showed her every shade ever (trust me, I’m a witness), I’m not kidding. Before I tell you how she claimed my lipstick, I’m going to go ahead and add mine to my cart RN. Here’s what you need to know about the product, and why I was sold in the meantime.
I Hated Matte Lipsticks But I’m In Love With This One
Matte & Moringa
From the pinks of Kylie Jenner’s closet to the purples of Camila Cabello’s 2021 Met Gala ensemble, this range displays a hundred decadent matte-based shades — each distinct in its own way. These lip colours are infused with Moringa Oil — so your lips are always hydrated, supple, and healthy. No stickiness. No discomfort. And you can choose your very own shade from this sea of options.
Opaque & Kiss-Proof
They’re smudge-proof as well as transfer-proof, and carry the promise of an opaque, smooth, and crease-free application.
Cruelty-Free And Vegan
Not only are these lipsticks, from the brand’s LIT range, their most-coveted range yet — they’re Shraddha Kapoor’s favourites, and have been tested on Sidharth Malhotra too! So you know they’re really cruelty-free and vegan.
