After breaking the internet in her quirky swimsuit outfit, Mrunal Thakur just served yet another jaw-dropped look at Cannes Film Festival. The Sita Ramam actress attended Indian Pavilion’s inaugural dinner bash and (I can confidently assume0 was one of the best-dressed guests at the bash. Mrunal just gave us a sneak peek and I have just one question—how did she switch channels so fast and so effortlessly?
For her second look at Cannes, Mrunal opted for a gorgeously draped saree by Falguni Shane Peacock. The silver drape features heavy cutdana work and a luxe trail to add to its grandeur. I love how the saree is equal parts modern and traditional. The draping style will remind you of the epic Ramayana and Mahabharata looks on Indian TV while the risqué strappy blouse keeps it tastefully contemporary. This saree is basically the best of both worlds and I love how effortlessly Mrunal is carrying it.
And the smoky eyes, Chico, they have my heart. Kudos, Shraddha Mishra! I love that Mrunal has kept it minimal in the jewellery department with her heavily embellished saree.
Ah! Perfectly balanced as all Cannes looks should be. A huge shoutout to stylist Rahul Vijay for putting it together. Mrunal has set the benchmark very high and we hope she takes it even higher with the red carpet debut. Stay tuned!
