From festive Indian wear to her chic off-duty fits, Mouni Roy is truly the queen of it all. That said, whenever we think about some of her most celebrated roles, we visualise her decked up in Indian wear. Few people look as effortlessly regal in a ghagra choli like Mouni. I mean, can we ever get over just how stunning she looked throughout Naagin season 1 with her arsenal of gossamer sarees, flared anarkalis, & opulent lehengas?
If you also dig Mouni’s desi wear looks as much as we do, you might want to check her Instagram feed ASAP. The actress seems to be working on a new project and has shown us glimpses of herself from set. Just yesterday, the actress took to Instagram and shared a photo carousel of her looking like an absolute maharani. “वातावरण ऑन सेट last couple of nights x,” she captioned the post. The looks are to die for and we wonder if Mouni is playing a royal queen in this project. Here’s everything that we are loving about her desi looks.
Saffron Beauty
In the first look, Mouni is dressed in a saffron lehenga and her jewellery surely channelises Rajasthan royalty vibes. She can be seen wearing a heavy choker, armlets, and elaborate bangles. For her headgear, the actress has put on a dainty rakdi along with a seeshphool. Don’t miss out on her kamarbandh also. This is a 10/10 look if Mouni is working on a period drama and we love how beautifully the saffron hue complements her.
Some Shivanya Flashback
During Naagin’s season 1, Mouni stunned us in a lot of pristine white outfits and seems like she is back at it again. For her second look, she has donned an ivory kurta complete with a chiffon dupatta and gota patti work. The rakdi remains in this look as well and has been matched up with a delicate nath and hathphools. With that winged eyeliner and peachy lips, her trademark makeup look also features here.
Mouni Ko Rangde Laal
Mouni’s look 3 is definitely our favourite in her photo carousel. For this one, she has been dressed in a solid cherry red lehenga featuring a panelled skirt and a hand-embroidered blouse. OTT kundan jewellery has been added to balance the otherwise simple look.
That said, it is not just Mouni outfits that are giving us some solid period drama vibe. The actress has also shared a picture of the set and it looks like a grand palace.
Surely something big is in the making right now and we can’t wait to get more details on Mouni’s latest project!
