India is still warming up to the Women’s Indian Cricket team but that didn’t stop Mithali Raj from going ahead and breaking Virat Kohli’s T20I record. India’s Women’s T20 Asia Cup match against Sri Lanka was held on Thursday in Kuala Lumpur, where the cricketer scored 2000 runs, beating Virat Kohli’s record of 1983 runs.
Post 14 half-centuries, the cricketer has now become the first batter from the country to score 2000 runs. The 35-year-old is the captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket team and the highest run-scorer in women’s internal cricket.
Of course, the praises haven’t stopped rolling in for the cricketer, as her Twitter seems to have blown up.
