Months after welcoming their baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor in May 2018, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly having a second child. Although no plans for a second pregnancy have been officially announced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, insiders claim that the two are about to become parents again. And this time, they plan to have the baby in the USA and not the UK. Yes, you read that right. If reports are to be believed, this will be the first time in the history of the royal family that a baby will be born outside the United Kingdom.
According to reports, the couple wants to give firstborn son Archie a sibling. Reports suggest that Meghan felt lonely and isolated during her pregnancy with Archie in the UK and that she doesn’t want to go through the same phase with her second child. The Suits star, on the other hand, wants to make sure she is around her loved ones in LA this time and that she spends the first three months post-delivery away from the UK and prying eyes.
Reports also claim that Meghan has decided so because she considers the USA to be home and she says it is vital for her mental health to be there while having her second child.
While Prince Harry initially had some reservations about this idea, reports suggest that he is now more than happy to welcome their second child in the USA in order to support his wife with whatever she decides. “Harry was initially concerned at the implications of having their second child in the US, as well as the problems it could cause with his family. But it is believed that he’ll support Meghan and do whatever it takes to make her happy and alleviate any anxieties or stresses”, a source close to the family revealed to a leading daily.
Prince Harry had hinted at having a second baby during a meeting with military families in Windsor on November 6, he spoke to people about his son, Archie Harrison. One of the relatives of military service members, Susie Stringfellow asked Duke of Sussex whether the couple was having a second baby and Prince Harry’s response said it all. “Harry was really quite interested in how things were with second children as well because we both have older children. We were trying to encourage him to have a second baby,” said Susie and Prince Harry responded affirmatively and happily.
Well, if these reports are true, we can’t wait for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to welcome baby number 2!
