Masoom Minawala On How People Asked Her To Stop Working After Her Baby

Masoom Minawala is one of the most prominent fashion influencers from India and her journey has been a treat to watch. As India’s first Luxury Fashion Influencer, everyone had huge expectations from Masoom. Well, she delivered in the best way possible. Last year, Masoom embraced motherhood and she has just gotten better at her work.

Masoom and her husband Shailin Mehta welcomed their first child Zavi Mehta in December 2022. Since then little Zavi has also been spotted a bunch of times on the ‘Gram.

Recently, Masoom spoke about how people advised her to not work after welcoming her first child. In an interview, she shared, “I have a set of audience who feel I should be focusing on Zavi but my advice would be to not let societal expectations or cultural conditioning influence your decisions. At the end of the day, what matters the most is not letting anyone else dictate how you should live your life.”

I am totally on Masoom’s side! Every mom has the right to decide if she wants to take a break or not. It is nobody’s place to determine the same for her. So, anyone who thinks that they know better for a child than their mom should step down from the high horse. You do you, Masoom!
