The MARS Cosmetics Nothern Lights In A Pan Eyeshadow Is My Go-To This Party Season

The Northern Lights In A Pan eyeshadow by MARS Cosmetics has two shades in one pigment. This dual chrome product is one of the newest additions to my vanity and I just can’t stop using it!
What Is It?
The MARS Cosmetics Northern Lights In A Pan is a powder eyeshadow with a multichrome pigment. This means the eyeshadow has one pigment that showcases two different shade palettes when you move it. It’s similar to one of those iridescent fabrics that shimmer and change colour in the light.
The one I own is 02 Norwegian Nights which is a metallic green + pinkish shade with bits of purple and brown. The product has four total variations and all of them are super glittery, with a metallic tint that is to die for! The shiny, shifty shades make for a great pop of colour when you’re in a hurry and don’t have the time to go with different shades or an elaborate eyeshadow look.
Our Thoughts
This is such a fun product. When I first got my hands on it, I played around with the pigment for at least a week – just swatching it on my hands during a workday and moving it around. It’s a super interesting product to use since you can match it with almost any shade of lipstick. I usually pair it with a matte brown lip shade, but it also works supremely well with a sheer gloss. The 02 Norwegian Nights is one of those shades that really adds depth to your eyes, making it one of my go-to’s for when I’m wearing deeper shades of purple, or any type of ethnic wear, honestly.
The formulation is kind of ashy so if you have dry skin, I suggest applying a primer before the shade. Otherwise, no complaints. Budget-friendly, super unique shade and you can literally carry it in your pocket!
What It Looks Like

In Conclusion
A great Christmas present to give, or buy for yourself. After all, what's more festive than a colour-changing eyeshadow that reminds you of the northern lights?
