But there is one woman who has created the most buzz and it is Ambani bahu, Shloka Mehta. Her diamond necklace—Mouawad’s L’Incomparable better known as “the most expensive necklace” in the world dominated headlines recently. According to the grapevine, the necklace was given to Shloka by her MIL Nita Ambani as a wedding gift. The necklace is priced at 60 million dollars i.e. over Rs 492 crores reportedly!

Shloka is the daughter of a renowned diamantaire Russell Mehta. Her family owns one of the world’s largest diamond manufacturers brand—Rosy Blue. Shloka has spent her entire life with precious stones and ‘coz of her family connection, diamonds are her best friend FR. While she was raised in the diamond business, Shloka didn’t take up the opportunity to work with her father.
However, there’s one person who has the biggest influence on Shloka and her subsequent love for precious stones. Her mom Mona Mehta! Mona is a jewellery designer by profession and she is also the co-founder of Rosy Blue India.
While Shloka observed her family’s diamond business quite closely, she had no desire to be a part of the same. In an interview, Shloka said, “I’ve never had an interest in the business. I think the diamond industry is not very friendly to women. It’s changing but most women typically become jewellery designers or they work in human resources…those kinds of roles. I don’t think that I have the creative aesthetic sense to be a designer.”

After tying the knot, Shloka got involved in a bunch of projects that made her the talk of the town. She is the co-founder of “Connect For”, an online volunteering foundation. Moreover, she is involved with various charities as well.
Clearly, Sholka is a woman of many talents!
