All My Guy Friends Love This Perfume & It Makes Total Sense!

Zendaya is one celebrity who’s always on top of her beauty and fashion game. She’s bold, fierce and true to herself. But her favourite scent is surprisingly gentle, quite the opposite of the front she puts up. The Lancôme Idôle, Zendaya’s current go-to fragrance, is a rose-scented one, something that’s right up my alley as well.

What Is It?

Lancôme Idôle is a floral feminine perfume with top notes of bergamot, juicy pair and pink peppercorn, middle notes of jasmine and rose, and bottom notes of white musk, vanilla, patchouli, and cedarwood. It’s an EDP (Eau De Parfum), making it a long-lasting scent. The Idôle even boasts of having the world’s thinnest perfume bottle available in all refillable sizes (25, 50, and 100 ml).

Our Thoughts

I’ve always been a fan of rose scents, especially ones that are not overpowering, and the Idôle does exactly that. I picked up the 25ml bottle before falling in love and upgrading to the 50ml version. It’s a scent I believe could be categorised under ‘clean girl perfume’ or ‘French girl perfume’ since it’s pleasant, romantic, and almost… elegant. The jasmine and rose scents hit my olfactory senses first, with the vanilla almost negligible.

It’s also an easy-to-wear scent, perfect for a brunch or casual evening out with friends because it requires no reapplication. I have oily skin, and scents usually fade within an hour or two, but there were still touches of this one lingering on for up to 4 hours! It also got me many compliments, making me believe it’s also a crowd-pleaser and could be great for gifting.

While the bottle is impressive (only 15mm) and feels more like you’re holding a mobile phone than a perfume bottle, it’s also extremely fragile. I know most glass bottles are, but this one doesn’t stand upright, making it hard to store on my perfume shelf. But that still doesn’t take away from the fact that this is now my go-to summer scent.

How To Use It

I rub Vaseline all over my pulse points before spritzing this on. It’s a perfume hack that helps your perfume last longer.
