Lately, social media “influenzas” have been extending their “influence” beyond our mobile screens and making the big move from the ‘Gram to the grandeur of the acting world. They give us hope that with hard work and grit, anyone can make it. Perhaps, that’s why they’re so relatable in their on-screen roles. Kusha Kapila
Kusha Kapila‘s “South Delhi girl” and “Billy Maasi” have to be two of the most iconic fictional characters on the Internet. Thank God, Bollywood got a whiff of her talent and cast her in movies like Ghost Stories and Selfiee. Our favourite is Kusha as Masaba Gupta’s preggo PR in the Netflix series Masaba Masaba season 2.

Kusha’s “South-Delhi” counterpart, Dolly Singh also started out by creating content that tickled our funny bones. But she’s gone upwards and onwards with her acting stints in movies and shows like Modern Love: Mumbai, Double XL, and Bhaag Beanie Bhaag. Her Cannes red carpet debut is the latest feather in her cap and we’re eagerly awaiting her next big project.
Mallika Dua
Mallika Dua shot to fame with her viral video, Shit People Say: Sarojini Nagar Edition. But the laughter queen was cut out for bigger things and went on to star in movies like Zero, Hindi Medium, and Namaste England. She also has some stellar web series performances to her credit.

But the social media sensation made sure that he was taken seriously by making his OTT debut as Vasya, a sanitation worker in the hit web series Taaza Khabar. His next web project Rafta Rafta was a romantic comedy and his fans and followers loved watching him in his true element.
