Over the years, Koffee With Karan has taught us a lot about B-town relationships. However, it is only once in a while that we spot a genuine friendship. Even though Varun and Anil might be from different generations, the two are very similar. This might be the main reason why the two actors hit it off so well on the sets of Jugjugg Jeeyo. They share a great bond now. While Varun wants to do at least one film with Anil every year, the latter regards the Badlapur star as his son now. And just like a typical desi dad, Anil has his problems with Varun, vanity being the biggest one.
According to Anil, Varun is obsessed with his looks and is constantly checking himself on either the monitor or the mirror. “At one point, I had to beg him, ‘Varun yaar monitor pe jana bandh kar’, especially during dance numbers. It is hard enough for me to get the choreography right on top of that, this guy had to check his clothes, his hair, his makeup. It was unending,” Anil recalled while talking about the experience of working with the Student of the Year actor.
Varun had no shame in accepting that it was true and added, “He even made a rule on set, yeh monitor ke pass nahi jayega.”
