Humble & How!
At the beginning of the episode, Karan Johar congratulated Samantha for being the number one actress on the Ormax list (an indicator of whom the audience is loving at the ground level, conducted by Ormax Media). However, Sam had the most humble response to it and joked, “I am paying someone at Ormax.” Even when Karan asked her how does it feel to beat Alia Bhatt on the list, she again quipped and said, “That was a high price to pay.”
On How Women Bond On The Film Sets
During the KWK conversation, Samantha made an interesting comment on how women are vilified for being mean to each other but actually it is the other way round. She also gave an example and talked about the fantastic experience of working with Nayanthara. “On the last day of the shoot, we hugged each other and cried,” she shared.
On Her Divorce
Samantha openly talked about her divorce on the Koffee couch and how she has been doing now. “It has been hard but it’s good now. I am stronger than I have ever been,” she shared. The actress did not even shy away from talking about how she and her ex-husband aren’t on the most cordial terms right now and said, “The situation is not amicable right now but maybe, some time in future.”
On Doing Oo Antava
During the third episode of Koffee With Karan 7, Samantha talked about saying “yes” to doing Oo Antava song. “It was a satire on the male gaze. My logic was who else can do a satire on the male gaze if not a nautch girl or I. As an actor you use your body to express a wide range of emotions,” she explained.
When She Picked A Bone With Karan
Samantha was in a jolly mood throughout the episode and even pulled Karan’s leg. “I have a bone pick with you,” she quipped and added, “You are on some level the reason for unhappy marriages. Because you have marketed this idea of marriage and wedding lehengas and wedding songs. You have portrayed married life to be like K3G. But in reality, it is KGF.”
When She Declared That She Is Done With Love
Well, for those who have been wondering if Samantha is dating someone after the divorce, the actress has declared that she is not open to the idea of love anymore. When KJo asked for the way to heart, she instantly replied, “It’s closed. Please take a U-turn.”
On Her Fave Actor
Samantha was also candid about her liking for Ranveer Singh. She shared that she did a commercial with the actor recently and has been since Ranveerified “I am like Ranveerified completely. A fan for life,” she said.
