You can call Kim Kardashian many things: beauty and shapewear mogul, law student, reality TV icon, mom, businesswoman, and the godmother of all influencers. With her eponymous makeup line and a penchant for perpetual risk-taking, Kim continues to rewrite the rules of her own beauty manual, which over the years, has gained her a cult following.
Kim Kardashian is an indisputable beauty queen, and we can’t say we’re surprised after witnessing some of the best beauty moments. Earlier this week, reality TV star turned DJ, Paris Hilton married her partner Carter Reum in a very glamorous wedding ceremony. Paris undoubtedly looked stunning, but her longtime gal pal, Kim Kardashian grabbed everyone’s attention with a jaw-dropping beauty look. Kim was a vision in a plunging black ensemble that she paired with an OTT beauty look. She braided XXXL extensions into a single strand, and her makeup was positively gorgeous. And for those itching to copy this look (guilty), get ready to bookmark this story.
Kim Kardashian’s Makeup Look Is Everything Glamarous
Step 1: For That Blurry, Soft-Focus Base
No matter your makeup skills – cloud skin like Kim’s is super easy to achieve. The key here is to use a few soft-focus and luminous products in conjunction with your skin-perfecting routine. We recommend using this luminescent moisturiser on your skin that gives it a hefty dose of hydration and a radiant glow. Then follow it up with a primer to get a silky-smooth canvas and diffuse the appearance of skin texture and fine lines giving a blurred finish. Wait for at least 5 to 10 minutes to ensure the products really sink into your skin. Then, with a damp sponge, apply a medium to full coverage foundation on the face, blended down to your neck. Pat and blend a creamy concealer under the eyes and on any scars and blemishes.
Step 2: Brows Before Bros
Fill in any gaps in the brows with your eyebrow pencil and brush them in place with a spoolie. You can also use a clear brow product to set the stray hairs in place. To make your brow more defined, use a lighter shade of concealer on the brow bone and above the brow.
Step 3: The Bolder, The Better
Apply an eye primer all over the eyelids to ensure your makeup stays put all night long. With a dense angled brush, apply a nude brown shade along the eye socket, resembling a soft cut crease. Then, take a flat shader brush to apply some cream, white eyeshadow on the centre of your eyelids. Apply a black liner along the top lash line, extending it to create a dramatic cat-eye. Then, take a kohl eyeliner and apply it along the lower lash line as well. Use a kajal to tight line the lower lash line. Take some black eyeshadow on a shader brush and use it to smoke out the lower lash line.
Step 4: The Only Drama We Enjoy Is In Our Lashes
Curl your lashes and coat them with a volumizing mascara. If you are exacting, stick on for a voluminous pair of falsies.
Step 5: To Nail That Kim-Esque Contour
Take a darker shade of concealer and use it to sculpt your face. Apply it across the temples, hairline and jawline, and along the hollows of your cheeks. Use a damp sponge to press and dab the creams into the skin. Then, pop an illuminating blush on the apple of your cheeks.
Step 6: For A Major Lip-Centric Influence
Ready to take a time machine back to the ‘90s? Just prep your lips, focus the liner that’s 2 to 3 shades darker on the outer corner of your lips before lightly feathering it around the rest of the mouth. Fill it in with a light nude pink hue. All you need is a great liner-lipstick duo to master this lip look.
It’s time to turn up the heat!
