We all know Kim K to be the real MVP of the Kardashian clan, because be it business or play, the woman is iconic. Even in the beauty sphere, Kim’s signature makeup look has become a coveted beauty standard that makeup mavens across the world want to follow. Everybody wants to look like Kim and that’s fair because she is a total baddie. So when the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star graced the Baby2Baby Gala in West Hollywood last night, it was obvious we were all in for a treat. Emerging in a barbie pink Balenciaga gown, a sleek bun hairstyle, and sculpted matte makeup, she made all head turns to behold her striking avatar. The SKIMS founder looked just like a barbie doll and we’re obsessed with her look. If you too want to look like a real-life Barbie just like Kim K did, follow this easy beauty decode.
Kim Kardashian’s Barbie Doll Makeup At The Baby2Baby Gala
Step 1: Base Is Boss
Follow a multistep skincare routine featuring a cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturiser. Once the skincare products are well absorbed by your skin, apply a mattifying primer and then blend a full-coverage matte foundation on your face and neck. Use a lighter shade of concealer on your under-eye areas and jawline for a brightening effect. Set your base with a setting powder.
Step 2: Brow Lessons
Sculpt your brows using a brow pencil and brow gel. First, draw along the bottom of your brow horizontally to carve out your brow from the brow bone. Next, fill in gaps with hair-like strokes. Blend with a spoolie brush and then swipe on a brow gel.
Step 3: Drama Queen
Apply an eye primer to your lids. Blend an ashy brown matte eyeshadow in and above the crease of your lids. Carve out your lids with concealer and then dab a pearly matte white eyeshadow on your lids. Lightly blend along the crease lines for a seamless colour transition. Wear dramatic winged eyeliner, apply kohl on your lower lash lines, and stick on falsies.
Step 4: Sculpted Score
Opt for a skeleton contour or any other contour technique that works best for your face shape. Use a contour stick to get an easy and sharp application. Blend well and then use a bronzer over the contoured areas for a more diffused look. Blend a matte blush on your cheeks and a highlighter on the high points of your face.
Step 5: Definition Is Key
Exfoliate your lips with a lip scrub to remove chapped skin and then moisturise with a balm. Use a dark brown lip liner to outline your lip shape and use a lip brush to blend the pigment inwards to soften harsh lines. Swipe on a light nude pink matte lipstick to complete the makeup look.
Kim Kardashian’s Sleek & Snatched Hair Bun
Part of Kim K’s snatched look is that smooth off-duty model bun. Wash your hair with an invigorating shampoo and conditioner. Mix a pump of serum with a dollop of leave-in cream and apply it while your hair is still wet. Detangle your hair with a wet comb and push it back. Leave out the bangs or face-framing tendrils section of your hair and create a sleek bun with the rest of your locks. Secure the bun with a hair tie and bobby pins. Now, apply a hair spray all over your hair and smooth out any flyaways with a boar bristle brush. Divide the front section into two halves like a mini-centre parting. Apply hair gel on both halves and pin one half at the base of the bun. Let the other half frame your face.
