The India Couture Week 2023 has finally started and with a bang indeed! This time around, the fashion week is 16 years and is all set to present 16 artistic showcases by renowned couturiers. While Rahul Mishra is going to close the week, Falguni Shane & Peacock were the openers. The duo unveiled their signature couture collection ‘Renaissance Reverie’ which is an ode to the Renaissance period and a seamless fusion of rich Indian culture, techniques, and craftsmanship.
The Showstopping Walk
Designer duo Falguni Shane and Peacock are known for their glitz and glamm. When it comes to leaving a little bit of sparkle, they leave no stone unturned. For their opening show at the India Couture Week, Kiara Advani played their muse! The Satyaprem Ki Katha actress, who has previously chosen the designers for many occasions, walked the ramp for the designers, and well, we are lovestruck!
While the entire collection was absolutely magical, Kiara’s look took it up a notch. Most of the models were dressed in ivory and pastels that looked divine. Kiara, on the other hand, chose a bright pink shade. It seems like the designers wanted the showstopper to represent the ongoing Barbie craze and they hit it out of the park with this one.
Kiara walked in an indo-western co-ord set that featured an itsy-bitsy blouse that came with a plunging neckline and tassels on the hem. The blouse was paired with a matching high-waisted skirt covered in sequins and beads and featuring a sensual thigh-high slit and a dramatic train. The ensemble was lovely. A pair of holographic heels with a wide platform completed the Barbiecore appearance.
Kiara Advani’s look served hard but the collection as a whole was equally magical and we cannot wait to see what the other designers have in store for us. Stay tuned!
