POV: It is 2011, we all are vibing on Salman Khan’s song Character Dheela and life is simple.
Cut to 2023, it’s now Kartik Aaryan featuring in Character Dheela 2.0. The new version has been crooned by Neeraj Shridhar who also sang the original track. Well, this remake is making all the buzz right now. As someone who has played the original at every house party, I am intrigued. Check out the track below:
I love the OG song but I still gave Character Dheela 2.0 a fair shot. Scroll down for my honest thoughts:
- Has Bollywood exhausted all the 90s tracks? Are they moving to the 2010s? Can’t believe I am looking at a remix of a song that I was jamming on in school.
- Neeraj Shridhar is such an underrated singer. No one could match the vibe.
- Milk bottles are the real star of the show. Kartik must have had too much fun while shooting Character Dheela 2.0 fo sho.
- Kinda missing the crazy sequences from the OG Character Dheela. Salman Khan and Zareen Khan played so many different characters in the song! It was a treat for the eyes.
- Okay, the music is peppy. I feel like dancing. Oh yeah, I am dancing! Well, that says a lot ‘coz I am hella lazy.
- Love how Kartik has given an adorable shoutout to Salman with his dance steps.
- NGL, I miss how Salman looked extra AF in the original. Kartik is playing it subtle but he is nailing the look.
- I need a tutorial on how to ace Kartik’s hook step. It’s LIT!
- Special shoutout to Kartik’s shades in the song. I want to steal them now!
- Though Kartik has done his best in the song, I would still prefer Salman’s version. But A+ for the effort!
I might need to watch Character Dheela 2.0 a little more to get hooked. But I am definitely adding it to my party playlist.
