Kartik Aaryan is one Bollywood celeb who is quite familiar with controversies. His movies were called out for their problematic dialogues and his Instagram reels with his sister received flak on social media last year. A few months ago, he was ousted from Dharma Production’s Dostana 2 after professional disagreements and he later lost Red Chillies’ Goodbye Freddie as well. The series of professional setbacks worried his fans, but thankfully, things have finally started to look good for the actor.
His upcoming movie, Dhamaka, is releasin on Netflix on November 19 and we have high hopes for the film. While the actor is busy with his ongoing projects now, he recently opened up about the effect these controversies have on his mind and on his family.
Kartik appeared on Siddharth Kannan’s chat show recently and revealed how he handled controversies. He said, “Many times when things are blown out of proportion, it affects to a point that why it is happening. But after that, I feel bad for my family because they don’t belong to this world.”
He said that while he usually distracts himself with work, he feels stressed about his loved ones. “Since I am from this industry, I have seen that nothing matters and you just need to focus on your work. But many times families are affected. That’s the only thing I get worried of, sometimes. Other than that, it doesn’t matter,” he added.
The actor said that he tries to console his mother and lets his work do all the talking. He added, “Haan bahut samjhata hu, meri mummy ko bahut samjhata hu (yes, I make them understand, I make my mom understand a lot). I know my work will always speak volumes and I want to give credit to it. And if I am lagging somewhere, I want to improve.”
Kartik also said that he’s now more particular about the kind of movies he is going to do. We’re sure that his family would be proud of him for making wise decisions and giving stellar performances.
