Kareena Kapoor Khan has broken all pregnancy stereotypes that ever existed in the entertainment industry, and we will always remain in awe of her. From walking the ramp for a fashion show while flaunting her bump to shooting during the pandemic, the actress has done it all. In fact, Bebo got to know about her second pregnancy while shooting for Laal Singh Chaddha. By the time she wrapped up shooting, she was five months preggers! That’s right, her second-born, little Jehangir Ali Khan, was a part of her movie in more ways than we know.
While talking about her experience, Kareena recently revealed in an interview that her li’l munchkin was even a part of one of her songs. She said, “We had a comfortable shoot. I used to commute from Pataudi to Delhi because I had requested Saif to come with me, as Taimur was also with me and I wanted him to be comfortable. I knew he would be comfortable at home. So, I had an hour and a half journey in the car every day and we shot late nights mostly. So, my son is practically in Laal Singh Chaddha. He is in the romantic song with Aamir and me.”
OMG, isn’t that adorable?! We’re sure that the track holds a special place in Bebo’s heart and NGL, it will for us as well. We know how sizzling Aamir and Kareena look together on-screen and now with this new info, we cannot wait for the song to release already.
While talking about her co-star, she praised him for being extra supportive on set and said, “I have to 100% give credit to Aamir for being absolutely wonderful and taking such security measures. Not knowing what is COVID and having an artist on set who is 5 months pregnant, so I give him all the credit for actually looking after me.”
Believe it or not, but Bebo’s gynaecologist did not approve of her working on the film while pregnant. Yet, she continued the shooting while adhering to the COVID-19 protocols and kept in touch with her doctor. “I was constantly in touch with my gynaecologist. I just wanted to know if my baby is safe,” she said.
There was also a time when Kareena almost fainted on the set! While talking about it, she said, “That day maybe it was the heat, it was the humidity, all the mental stress, like we were in the middle of the lockdown. Maybe everything came together. I just couldn’t get myself out of the van. I couldn’t get myself together. I felt like I was going to faint. I sat down and said you know I can’t go ahead with this particular shoot right now.”
Wow, working during the pandemic, completing the shooting, and filming a romantic sequence while being pregnant—is there anything you can’t do, Bebo?
Laal Singh Chaddha is going to release around Diwali 2021 and is apparently the Indian adaptation of the movie Forrest Grump. Don’t know about you, but we’re surely watching out for the romantic number with a Jeh connection!
