The Kar-Jenners cracked opened their doorways just a little on the night of matriarch Kris Jenner’s birthday last week. Like most parties, this celebration was themed — but unlike most parties, it was themed around one single person. Around Kris. Yes. The theme was this — ‘dress up as your best Kris’ — as per Kim Kardashian — and everyone from the clan (barring Kendall) was instructed to recreate any one of Kris’ looks — whether recent or years old.
Everyone understood the assignment. Literally. The success of the night largely depended on whether the invitees got the theme right, and no one missed. The family shared with their millions of followers snippets from the party, and it was glamourous. Obviously — imagine 5 Kris Jenners waltzing around a house. Kourtney channeled tracksuit-clad Kris from Ariana Grande’s ‘Thank U, Next’ MV — looking suave and comfortable all at the same time — and clasped on a pair of larger-than-life hoops as seen on the momager in the video. The recently-married Kardashian’s glam was soft, subtle, and on point. Khloé, on the other hand, cosplayed their mother’s beach-blonde mane back from 2017. Remember Kris rocking a peroxide-drenched pixie at 65? Khloé absolutely nailed it — especially with the smokey-eyed aesthetic.

But Kim and Kylie went all the way back to the beginning of the lookbook and hand-picked from Kris’ ever-flourishing cartage of sartorial and above-the-neck aesthetics two show-stopping moments. The founder of SKIMS and SKKN recreated Kris’ look from their ‘Lady Marmalade’ video for Christmas. The socialite donned a sequin-studded ensemble, put on a pair of earrings, and sported a side-swept pixie that skimmed the brows.

While Kourtney opted for something light and subtle, glam-enthusiast Kylie did something very different. The Kylie Cosmetics founder evoked a Kris-approved look from the 1990s. She lacquered her nails in a shade of blood red and embellished her neck with a diamond-studded choker. Splashes of blood-red enriched the cheeks before swiveling down to the lips extravagantly. A soft smoky-brown eye unraveled itself all over the lids, and a bixie — cross-over between a pixie and a bob — concluded the aesthetic.

Everyone — her. Kris looked stunning on the night of her birthday, and while her kids toiled over for hours attempting to recreate some of her most iconic looks from over the decades, we have to say — Kris is Kris, and no one’s like Kris. The momager’s pixie was swept right off the forehead and styled into a side part. Kris wore a sultry smokey-eye, filled her brows in, and lent a flush of pink to the lips. Honestly — gorg. Is anyone going to recreate this one? Knowing the Kar-Jenners, they will.
