This just in, telly world’s popular celebrity couple, Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava are expecting their first baby. A source close to the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (YHM) actor said, “Ankita and Karan are ecstatic and are busy making arrangements to welcome their bundle of joy. They are looking forward to embracing parenthood. They are keeping the news under wraps to avoid any unwanted attention.” Well, we couldn’t be happier for them!!
In May 2018, there were speculations doing the rounds that Karan and Ankita, or as we like to call them #Karankita, were expecting a baby. But it turned out to be nothing more than a rumour.
The duo, who got married May 3, 2015, in an arranged setup, have an interesting love story. Karan worked with Ankita’s father Abhay Bhargava in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Though the actress had heard a lot about Karan from her father, she never got to interact with the show’s male lead. In fact, Karan’s co-star on the show Aly Goni played cupid and brought the two families together. An hour and a half into the rishta meeting, Karan and Ankita decided to marry each other. Ankita had once told a leading daily, “I was not even looking for a match and had a long list about who’s going to be my partner. But it was meant to be – we let our guards down immediately”.
On the work front, Karan Patel was recently seen on Khatron Ke Khiladi (KKK) 10 and was among the top four contestants. Earlier in July, he quit playing the popular role of Raman Bhalla opposite Divyanka Tripathi (who played Dr Ishita on YHM), for KKK10. The couple is now busy preparing for their baby.
