During a media event, Karan spoke about how if he remade Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani 35 years from now, he would pick Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol for the project. The filmmaker said that he would pick SRK and Kajol for the parts played by Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi.
The possibility of RARKPK with Shah Rukh and Kajol is super intriguing. I can already imagine them taking the legacy of Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi to a whole new level.

When Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani crossed the ₹ 100 crore mark, Karan took to ‘Gram to share a heartwarming post about the film. He wrote, “Warning: Long emo post ahead. Prior to the release of this film, I felt that at any point of time I would need an IV drip and was near collapse! The question I asked myself was – is it the long 7 year gap? Or the anxiety built over the last 3 years. Or the fact that we live in an ambiguous box office time. Whatever the real reason is – I was a bonafide mess! But the Friday, 28th of July, I felt nothing but gratitude, validation and sheer joy. This film is truly a product of team energy and love.”
