Kangana Ranaut never minces her words when it comes to Bollywood. Unbothered by the drama her statements cause, she goes all out to diss certain films and filmmakers. Well, the actress has done it yet again by raising eyebrows at Brahmastra’s box office numbers and taking a dig at her arch nemesis Karan Johar. NGL, we aren’t surprised by another Kangana-Karan showdown. But this time, things have gone a bit too far.
Earlier this week, Vivek Agnihotri tweeted about reports that suggested Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra had ‘beaten’ his film, The Kashmir Files at the box office. “Hahahaha. I don’t know how did they beat #TheKashmirFiles…with sticks, rods, hockey… or AK47 or stones… Or with paid PR and influencers,” he wrote.
Permanently suspended from Twitter, Kangana took to the ‘Gram to share the tweet. She wrote, “The audacity to belittle The Kashmir Files, a film made on Hindu genocide (and) also trying to ride on its success. The Kashmir Files was made in ₹10 crore…Now, according to mafia minions, Karan Johar film has beaten it (The Kashmir Files) brutally… Karan Johar ji aap kya cheeze ho yaar (what are you, Karan Johar).” Kangana also added a laughing emoji to her note. She further added, “Let Bollywood films compete with each other. Leave us alone. I am not in that dumb race. Thanks”
Damn! For the longest time, Kangana has been raising questions about KJo’s films. This year, she started the bashing spree with Gangubai Kathiawadi and is after Brahmastra now.
For the unversed, Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra has emerged as one of the most successful films of 2022. The filmmaker announced that the film made INR 360 crore worldwide in just 10 days. Moreover, as per the trade experts in the tinsel town, Brahmastra is continuing its dream run and is turning out to be the blockbuster of the year.
Dare we suggest Kangana watch the film before thrashing it mercilessly? Maybe that will change her mind!
