Apart from revelling in the trio’s dynamics, the episode remains iconic thanks to Kajol’s sari-clad alter-ego paying homage to the trends of the 2000s — hello, frosted lips and eyes. Kajol’s cool-toned makeup contrasts the jet-black of her sari and is accompanied by a low-hanging, slicked-back bun that remains a go-to even now — kuch kuch hota hai, when we see baby Kajol, tum nahi samjhoge!
Season 2
Kajol lets her hair down this time. Notice how effortlessly they frame her face, and how voluptuous and thick her tresses are. They’re not overdone — they look natural, and are accompanied by a few curls here and there. Her lids are drenched in hues of silvery blue, and her lashes are coated with mascara.
Season 4
While Kajol continues to display an affinity for honesty, witty remarks, and straightforward answers, her transformation between Season 2 and Season 4 is just crazy. Can we talk about how radiant and seamless her skin looks? And how effortlessly the bright, poppy pink lipstick contrasts the splashes of grey on the lids? And the hair in a ponytail? Season 6
Kajol sits across from Karan, and close to Ajay — looking like she’s moments away from sashaying down the Met Gala’s red carpet. She talks about Ajay’s laziness, and her proclivity to buy purses from Santacruz’s markets — and while her quips engage us, we cannot help but admire how sleek her ‘do looks — a style we’re seeing every celebrity sport now. She marries the slicked-back hairstyle with filled-in, thicker-than-ever brows; nude lipstick; streaks of jet-black kohl; and washes of pink on the lids. Despite having evolved her style over the course of six seasons, notice how she remains just as committed to her unibrow as her patriotism in K3G. Some believe that is one of her most highlighted USPs!
