Kajol Devgan has been making the most of her OTT career. Earlier the actress made headlines with her power-packed performance in Lust Stories 2 and she is again creating buzz with The Trial. Kajol plays the role of lawyer Noyonika Sengupta in the Hotstar original series and has broken her three-decade-long no-kissing policy for it.
Kajol has left the internet in a frenzy by sharing onscreen kisses with not one but two of her co-stars (Alyy Khan and Jisshu Sengupta) in the series. Honestly, we love how Kajol pushed her boundaries and stepped out of her comfort zone after 29 years in the industry. Not many have the guts to try something different, especially when fans tend to put them in a specific mould.

The Trial is the Indian rendition of The Good Wife. It is a courtroom drama that follows the journey of Noyonika Sengupta (played by Kajol), a housewife, who is forced to return to work as a lawyer after her husband is imprisoned following a corruption and sex scandal. While trying to seek justice for herself and her family, she faces constant judgments from fellow lawyers and friends. Starring talents like Kubbra Sait and Jisshu Sengupta, the 8-episode show makes for an interesting watch.
