Salman Khan was convicted for the killing of two blackbucks in Jodhpur in 1998 while he was shooting for the film Hum Saath Saath Hain and on 5th April 2018, he was sentenced to a five-year jail term by a Jodhpur trial court. Since then, he has been out of the Jodhpur Central jail on bail.
Judge Chandra Kumar Songara of the Jodhpur District and Sessions Court gave permission to the actor to travel abroad after he submitted a plea to the court today. The actor’s case was presented by senior advocate Mahesh Bora after brief arguments by public prosecutor Pokar Ram. He will now be travelling to the US, Canada and Nepal from May 25 to July 10.
Salman Khan had resumed the shooting for the movie Race 3 last week and will also start to shoot for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat on April 16.
Judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi, the judge who ordered his bail had previously stated that the actor is not allowed to travel abroad until unless the court gives him permission to do so.
The actor spent two nights in the Jodhpur central jail, from April 5 to 7, 2018 after the judgement was passed. He has spent a total of 20 days in the jail in 1998, 2006, 2007 and in April this year.
Now, the next hearing regarding the blackbuck case is going to take place on 7th May.
