Sridevi’s demise was a huge loss for the Indian film industry. The entire nation mourned and sent support and love to Boney Kapoor, her husband, and daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. One of the things that were left unanswered was the fate of Karan Johar’s next movie directed by Abhishek Varman, also remained unknown. Sridevi was supposed to be part of the project along with the rumoured cast – Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt. However, a recent post by Janhvi Kapoor on Instagram has finally put an end to all the questions regarding who would be taking over Sridevi’s role. It’s none other than her close friend, Madhuri Dixit-Nene.
The movie was rumoured to be named Shiddat but Karan Johar’s recent tweet has proved otherwise.
Some clarifications!!! Yes…we are honoured and humbled to have @MadhuriDixit on board for @abhivarman ‘s next! NO the film is NOT titled SHIDHAT! Yes the film will Commence shoot in mid April! The films final cast and credits will be announced soon!

Back in the day, the two actresses were always pitted against each other but all that is in the past. Here’s hoping all the luck to the cast of the film!
