Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter share a connection that goes way back. Apart from making their B-town debut together in 2018 in Dhadak, the duo was also rumoured to be romantically involved. While neither of them confirmed their relationship, fans were hardcore shipping them. Their onscreen chemistry was so natural and pure, that fans were convinced the two were dating IRL. However, soon after the release, the duo parted ways.
In a recent interview, Janhvi spoke about her current equation with Ishaan. She admitted that they may have grown apart but still share the same warmth whenever they meet. The Goodluck Jerry star also took a trip down memory lane as she revealed that Rangsaari is actually “their song”.
The starlet said, “I think we are both busy but every time we meet, there is that warmth. Rangsaari, the song that came out from Jugg Jugg Jeeyo, that song was supposed to be in Dhadak. So every time we’d shoot montages for Dhadak, we’d play that song. When it came out, both of us felt like this was our song and it made us feel so much. We texted each other, ‘Did you see it?’ It felt kind of funny.”
We feel you, Janhvi. A few things can only be shared with a specific person and it is heartwarming to see that these two cuties still share a cordial relationship. Well, not every ex is toxic, right? As the saying goes, “Sometimes when we grow, we grow apart.” Janhvi and Ishaan may have grown apart but they do have a strong connection, especially because they made their B-town debut together.
Although Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani nailed Rangsari, Janhvi and Ishaan also would have looked great in it. Don’t you think?
