New-age brides are getting bolder and more experimental in the fashion department. They are finally thinking beyond sarees and lehengas for their D-day outfits. Take, for instance, Kamisha Gilla who chose to wear a pantsuit for her shaadi. Kamisha is an Articling Accountant by profession and recently tied the knot with the love of her life, Ruman Tahkar. We just stumbled upon the couple’s wedding pictures and the two look like they have stepped straight out of a fairytale!
For the wedding day, Ruman wore a classic black suit with a crisp white shirt. But it was Kamish who stole the show in a pristine white pantsuit. She wore a blazer layered over a white bralette and wide-legged trousers. White pumps and a long trailing veil completed her look. We love how she kept her overall look understated and just relied on her huge diamond ring to add some bling.
Here, take a look at the dreamy pictures!
Where It All Started
Pantsuits have a special appeal for modern brides as they are easier to carry, look chic, and the best part? They come with pockets. Win-win, Id’s say! Back in 2020, Sanjana Rishi was one of the first desi brides to embrace the trend. She wore a powder-blue pantsuit by Gianfranco Ferré on her wedding day. She added a dreamy sheer veil with scallop detailing on the border, custom-made for her by Torani Official. Her fresh look broke the internet and since then we have seen many brides wearing pantsuits on their big day.
Wow, the pantsuit trend is getting stronger and we can’t wait to see more brides embracing it!
