I grew up listening to Rihanna’s music. Till today, if you go through my current playlist, you’ll still find her old tracks like, ‘Umbrella’, ‘We Found Love’, ‘Pon de Replay’, ‘Shut Up And Drive’ and ‘Run This Town’. In a nutshell, she is one of my favourite pop music artists. Thus, of course, I had to get my hands on Rihanna’s make-up line, and I was excited AF! After all, it’s not just a make-up product, it’s like a collectible of your favorite celeb’s creation. Plus, women the world over, can’t stop raving about Fenty Beauty products, particularly their vast shade of foundations.
I quickly logged onto her website and added a few products to my cart. Like most popular celebrity make-up lines, I assumed that her website too would ship products to India. Unfortunately, I was in for a disappointment, they don’t yet. (Yep, not even the main Sephora website ships to India *Sigh*) Just when I was about to lose all hope, I thought of my cousin in Canada who is equally as crazy about make-up as I am. I instantly sent her an FB message and asked her if she owns one or tried the product out herself. To my good luck, she did!
Since I was darn serious about picking ‘RiRi’s Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation’ up, I wanted an honest review of the product. I’ve heard so many international bloggers and websites rave about how amazing it is that I wanted to know if it was really worth all the hype.

This natural-look, quick dry, full coverage foundation has made its way into many makeup lovers hands as it has been clearing shelves in most Sephora stores. I originally had run into a snag when attempting to purchase this product due to it being sold out in my shade at every Sephora in my area. It was much to my excitement to find that every shade is still available on the Sephora website which is where I purchased shade 300. With a wide range of shade options, it’s best to swatch the best fit for your skin tone before purchasing online. Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r Foundation offering its wide range of 40 shades has made a huge boom in the beauty industry. A few shades that I have seemed to really like the look of and that match my skin perfectly are shades 290 to 300. I’ve mixed both of them on my skin in the picture above. Rihanna prides herself on catering to so many skin tones when launching this foundation line which has definitely hit a niche in the market.
The foundations are oil-free and felt pretty lightweight on my skin. Plus, they’re completely matte, which I love. Keeping in consistency with the rest of the Fenty Beauty products this foundation is of top-quality. It’s also not priced as high as most other high-end brands and makes you feel great in your skin. I like it for everyday wear or a night out in town with the girls.
Pro-Tip: Moisturize and prime extremely well before applying this product and I like to use a beauty blender to blend out the foundation. The formula is just amazing, I am truly in love with this product and you won’t catch me without it in my makeup bag.”
