Hina Khan Opens Up About Picking Mental Health Over Weight Loss & We Are Cheering For Her

What makes a woman strong? According to us, it is her spirit of moving forward in the face of adversities. Telly actress Hina Khan is the living embodiment of this definition. In the glittery world of social media, she is one diva who is not afraid of keeping it real. In the last couple of months, the Kasautii Zindagii Kay star has been wearing her heart on her sleeve and it is inspiring!

Recently, Hina took to Insta to talk about picking her mental health over physical appearance. It is a well-known fact that the actress is a fitness junkie and loves to sweat it out every day, but this time she opened up on the emotional turmoil she went through in the past few months.

The actress lost her dad earlier this year and since then, she has been trying to piece her life back together. She shared a snap from her workout routine on the Insta story and penned an emotional note.

She wrote, “Had put on some kilos in these months for obvious reasons and I really did not pay attention to how many kilos I put on. My mental health was way more important and I just wanted to be, wanted to do things that make me happy. Sometimes let yourself be, enjoy the little things, do what you like without thinking much about what people will say or how am I looking. After all, one needs to be in the right frame of mind to do anything in life. And I chose mental health, my well being over my physical appearance. Now here I am, back in action.”

In an earlier interview, she shared, “I don’t want to talk about what happened but I experienced something — the art of distraction. We humans, even in the worst of times, we learn to move on and want to distract ourselves. And honestly, that hurts. You want to think about what happened but choose not to, and that really pains.”
