The cursed year that is 2020 will be remembered for many things, and one amongst them will be the collective feeling of dressing up or at least wanting to, but within the confines of homes. Not the stars though; they have been back to work (with all safety measures in tow, as one can hope) and that entails decking up. Though again, that might hit the mark or not, as is always the chance with fashion choices. This one, however, and we are talking of Hina Khan’s brand new look, has left us polarised.

So How Do We Really Feel About It?
To summarise: we don’t know, friends. If you have been keeping up with the actress and the reality TV star’s fashion evolution, you will also have noticed that she has come a long way and girl sure has some tricks up her sleeve. What we like is the fact that keeps experimenting with her choices, something that’s rare in the industry even given the entourage involved behind the scenes. And let’s not forget, she has been vocal about the difficulties in sourcing designer fits and been mocked for no reason whatsoever in the past since the industry can also collectively behave like Mean Girls (yes, the movie).
Circling back to this outfit. Is it different? Yes. Does the edgy slit work for a red-carpet ready look? Yes. Would be label this as a cool experiment? Absolutely yes. But here’s the thing. We are in a bit of a dilemma about the exaggerated white in this black evening wear gown from Edward Arsouni though to be fair, it might grow on us. But definitely minus that pose which we aren’t really vibing with. One thing is certain, this outfit is definitely not for the faint of heart and so in case you were looking to go a more subtle route (you do you), we pulled out some options for minimalists, maximalist and the in-betweeners alike.
